-AICERA 15 - INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MANUFACTURING AND MATERIALS

The Annual conference of AJCE Aicera 2015 was conducted on the 23rd ( Thursday ) and 24th( Friday) July 2015. The Theme of the conference covered Manufacturing and Materials Engineering aspects. The 2-day event provided ample exposure to scholarly works and personal interaction by researchers in fields of engineering.

The Welcome Address was delivered by Prof. K. SREEKUMAR, Head of the Mechanical Engineering, AJCE.

The Presidential Address by Rev. Dr. JOSE KANNAMPUZHA, Principal, AJCE.

Sri. M. NARAYANA RAO, Chairman & Managing Director, MISHRA DHATU NIGAM LIMITED, Kanchanbagh, HYDERABAD. initiated the Inaugural Ceremony, and an Invited talk was in the first day of the program,

along with 12 paper presentations from delegates all over India.

Six paper presentations was carried out during the second day along with around 35 oral presentations from selected papers in three venues. Poster presentations also gave a technical platform for the aspiring researchers.

The Keynote Lectures were delivered by,

1) Sri. ABHAY K JHA, Head, Materials Processing Division, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, ISRO Trivandrum.

2) Sri. K. BHANU SANKARA RAO, Ministry of Steel Chair Professor, MAHATMA GANDHI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, GANDIPET, HYDERABAD

3) Dr. R. SANDHYA, Head, Fatigue Studies Section, Mechanical Metallurgy Division, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam.

The wholehearted participation from all the members of the department, specially Prof. Tom Sunny took the initiative with special mention to Abi varghese along with the students of the Mechanical Engineering department made this conference a success.
