AICTE sanctioned Idea Lab worth Rupees 1.1 Crore

Sent off function for Rev. Dr. Jose Kannampuzha

A sent off function for our former principal Rev. Dr. Jose Kannampuzha was organised by the Mechanical Engineering Department. Faculties and students shared their experiences with him and the great moments the college community had with him. As a token of appreciation, a portrait of Fr. Jose was presented to him along with an Aranmula mirror. Prof M. N. Muraleedharan, Mr. K. Balachandran, Mr. T. A. Abraham, and Mr. P. S. Venugopal were appreciated for making the logo of “Make in India”.

As of the suggestion from the college management, Department of Mechanical Engineering took initiative to make a logo of “Make in India” in our lab. It was unveiled by Rev. Dr. Jose Kannampuzha in department premise.

Lecture on opportunities in thermal power plants and thermal engineering fields

A lecture was organized as the first event of the association on the topic “Opportunities in thermal power sector”. Experts from Merc Training Academy, Chennai took the classes.

Activities of Mechanical Engineering Association for the year 2017 were inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Jose Kannampuzha on 24th January 2017. The meeting was presided over by Prof. K. Sreekumar, Head of Department, Mechanical Engineering and also distributed the Principal's Honors Certificate  

Congratulations to Mr Subin P George

Subin P George published a paper on "Optimization of custom cementless stem using finite element analysis and elastic modulus distribution for reducing stress-shielding effect"  in Journal of Engineering in medicine by SAGE publications

Jes Thomas as a part of Jagriti Yatra

Jagriti Yatra is an ambitious train journey of discovery and transformation that takes hundreds of India's highly motivated youth, especially those who are from small towns and villages of India, on a 15 day, 8000 km national odyssey to meet the role models - social and business entrepreneurs - of the country. The vision of Jagriti is 'building India through enterprise'. Jes Thomas (S7 Department of Mechanical Engineering) got an opportunity to be a part of Jagriti Yatra 2016 on 24th  December 2016 to 8th January 2017 ( 15-day long, 8000 kilometers)
