Association of Mechanical Engineering, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirappally in association with Society of Energy Engineers & Managers (SEEM) has organized lecture in their Online Technical Talk Series. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Stephen Babu, (Assistant Manager, Hindustan Petroleum) on 12th December 2020.

  Association of Mechanical Engineering, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirappally in association with Institution of Engineers (India) has organized the second lecture in their Online Technical Talk Series. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Piyush Padmanabhan, Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Next Big Innovations Lab, Bengaluru on 13 th November, 2020. The talk was on the topic “An insight into the Technologies and Real World applications of 3D Bioprinting”. Around 60 participants, which includes students, research scholars, faculty and industry personnel from all over India and across different engineering streams have attended the one hour session and had a healthy interactive session with the speaker. At the end of the technical discussion, the programme has been formally concluded with a vote of thanks from Prof. Roshan Kuruvila, Staff Advisor – Students’ Chapter – IE(I), AJCE.

 

 

 

National Institution for Quality and Reliability (NIQR) Trivandrum & NIQR Amal Jyothi College Chapter organized a national webinar on “MONOZUKURI” and “HITOZUKURI”. Mr.Sherin Thampi, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering coordinated the overall webinar which was held on 16 September 2020, Time: 6.30 PM. to 8.00 PM .Recourse Person: SRI. KR Mohan Ananthanarayanan, Head Quality Division Mechanical, VSSC (Retd).

The talk was on the topic “Understanding bio-fluid dynamics and bio-heat transfer for biomedical applications”. Around 45 participants, which includes students, research scholars, faculty and industry personnel from all over India and across different engineering streams have attended the one hour session and had a healthy interactive session with the speaker. At the end of the technical discussion, the programme has been formally concluded with a vote of thanks from Prof. Roshan Kuruvila, Staff Advisor – Students’ Chapter – IE(I), AJCE.

Webinar was conducted on automotive competitions in India such as SAE BAJA, SAE SUPRA, SAE TDC, GOKART DESIGN, FMAE QUADBIKE DESIGN CHALLENGE, FORMULA BHARATH, MEGA ATV, etc conducted by professional engineering societies on 6th Thursday, July 2020. Webinar discussed The different types of events that are being conducted. ·          The reason why you should be participating in any of these events before your graduation. ·          How to participate? ·          An overview of the skills (Designing and Utilising CAE tools) and knowledge you should have before you compete. ·          How to clear the preliminary rounds of various events.

Association of Mechanical Engineering, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirappally in association with Institution of Engineers (India) has initiated the concept of Online Technical Talk Series, in which experts from various domains will speak about a specific advancements. In line with this event, the first lecture was arranged on 25 th July 2020. The speaker for the session was Dr. Tiju Thomas, Associate Professor, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Dr. Tiju talked on the topic “Nano materials for Energy and Environmental Applications” with specific emphasis on application of nitrides and other important materials for the same. Around 98 participants, which includes students, research scholars, faculty and industry personnel from all over India and across different engineering streams have attended the one hour session and had a healthy interactive session with the speaker. Department of Mechanical Engineering and Additive manufacturing zone of AJCE organised a Webinar on "Recent Research and Development in Additive Manufacturing" on 25 th June 2020. This webinar focused on the current research and development in the area of additive manufacturing technologies. The influence of additive manufacturing in the post COVID world was also an important topic of discussion in this webinar. Additive Manufacturing Zone at Amal Jyothi, is a state- of –the- art facility where anyone can work on an idea and build a prototype using the concept of 3D printing, which would help them to figure out a potential market for their product.
