Department of Mechanical Engineering arranged a Industrial Visit to Anna-Kitex group of companies, which is situated near near Kochi on 23rd March 2019 with S2 ME Students Anna-Kitex group of companies, founded by the legendary Late Shri M. C. Jacob, Kitex Garments Ltd is the largest employer in private sector in the state of Kerala. It is located near Kochi and has easy access to sea and air ports. 

Workshop was conducted by AJCE seem student chapter on 8th March 2019. Explained concept of sustainability and the need to do even a small thing efficiently. The workshop was conducted with help of power point presentations and also as an oral presentation including video footages. It also gave a brief description on how to conduct energy audit for sustainable energy champion 2019.  After this session Mr Philip Jose explained the procedure to be followed while doing a solar site survey .The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr Denil Roy Joshua, chairman AJCE SEEM student chapter.

Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirappally (AJCE),  One-day talk on  " HVAC Design Calculation and Advanced Revit Technology" by Autodesk Fusion 360 on 1st March 2019.

Saji S6 (ME) mentored by Abi Varghese AP- ME (Rs.45,000/-).                  Mr. Danny S8 ME A & Roy P.A M.Tech MD guided by Mr.George Sebastian received best paper award for “ Ergonomic evaluation of wheelchair treadmill”

AJCE  joined hands with the the General & Higher Education Departments of Government of Kerala under the “Additional Skills Acquisition Programme ( ASAP )- DAT (Design Align and Train) scheme” to conducted a Skill Development Programme known as "Machining Technician Level-3".  The syllabus of this course included theory and practical training on Safety, Measurements, Lathe work, Milling, Drilling, Grinding and introduction to Heat treatment and CNC operations. The students of this course could find their job role as Maintenance/ Helper Technician in related industries.

First Years of Mechanical Engineering Department organized a ANTI RAPE CAMPAIGN on 7th May 2016.

Invited lecture series organised by ISTE - Amal Jyothi Chapter &  Mechanical Engineering department , by Dr. M.Uthayakumar, Adjunct faculty of ME department, AJCE and HoD (Automobile Engineering Dept, Kalasalingam University, TN) on 2nd and 3rd May 2016 respectively. The topic of his discussion was Research opportunities and higher education prospects" " 

Visit of  S4 ME Students  to the Brahmapuram Powerplan t located in the suburbs of Cochin took place on the 16th of May 2016. Brahmapuram Powerplant  isa 36 Megawatt(MW) power plant using natural gas will be commissioned at Brahmapuram by Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) by September 2015. Brahmapuram plant has a total of five machines with a capacity to generate 20 MW power each. However, only three machines at the plant are in working condition now. The fuel used at the plant is low sulphur heavy stock (LSHS), a residual fuel processed from indigenous crude.

IEI students Chapter AmalJyothi college of Engineering, ACE/MC/686518 organized a 2 day seminar on the topic “Make In India” opportunities and challenges on 12 th & 13 th April 2016.As a part of the two day programme Rev. Dr. Jose Kannampuzha, Principal, AmalJyothi college of Engineering welcomed the gathering. Er. Roshan Kuruvila, Staff advisor IEI Students’ Chapter introduced the various speakers to the audience. Mr. L Jyothish Kumar (President AMSI) inaugurated the seminar by Lighting of the lamp and explained the importance and the need of Make in India. On the above occasion Er. Varghese A Johns Engineering Coordinator of IE (I) Kochi   local centre Stressed the role of Engineers in this context.
