The Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Automobile), and Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, are organized a 6-Day Hybrid Faculty Development Program on: “AI-Driven Sustainable Technologies for Energy Systems, Smart Mobility and Advanced Materials” 📅 31 August – 5 September 2026 The FDP focuses on AI applications, sustainable energy, smart mobility, advanced materials, interdisciplinary research, and emerging engineering technologies. A valuable platform for faculty, researchers, PG students, industry professionals, and aspiring innovators to learn, collaborate, and explore new research opportunities.

Safety Club in association with the Department of Mechanical Engineering has organized a Workshop on “Safety and Disaster Management” on 01/02/2020. The workshop was held at St.Alphonsa Hall (CC110) at 10.00 am. The workshop was handled by Fire & Rescue Office Team, Kanjirappally. The team has included Sri. Joseph Joseph, Fire Station Officer and five other officials. Around 125 first year B.Tech. students from both Mechanical and Electrical branches have attended the workshop. Both theory and practical sessions on safety were included in the workshop. The workshop delivered instructions on guidelines to identify hazards, report them, and deal with incidents. The workshop was also provided awareness to the students about how to save a life in real-time situation of any kind of danger or calamity that occurs with no advance or very little time. The project titled “Megnexus Nutmeg Desheller” has been awarded a funding of ₹50,000 for being recognized as one of the best projects under the programme. This innovative solution aims to address practical challenges in nutmeg processing by introducing an efficient and scalable deshelling mechanism.
