ONLINE TECHNICAL TALK SERIES :Nano materials for Energy and Environmental Applications

Association of Mechanical Engineering, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirappally in association with Institution of Engineers (India) has initiated the concept of Online Technical Talk Series, in which experts from various domains will speak about a specific advancements. In line with this event, the first lecture was arranged on 25^th July 2020. The speaker for the session was Dr. Tiju Thomas, Associate Professor, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Dr. Tiju talked on the topic “Nano materials for Energy and Environmental Applications” with specific emphasis on application of nitrides and other important materials for the same. Around 98 participants, which includes students, research scholars, faculty and industry personnel from all over India and across different engineering streams have attended the one hour session and had a healthy interactive session with the speaker. At the end of the technical discussion, the programme has been formally concluded with a vote of thanks from Prof. Roshan Kuruvila, Staff Advisor – Students’ Chapter – IE(I), AJCE.
