Manufacturing Conclave 2015
In connection with ‘Make in India Campaign’, faculty members of Mechanical Engineering Department had attended Manufacturing Conclave at Kochi on 08 December 2015, organized by Confederation of Indian Industry.
The objective of this conclave is to promote smart manufacturing
practices in Kerala and also to attract the State as a favorable
destination for manufacturing sector.
With a growing focus on new
technologies and investments within the state and with a revived outlook
on entrepreneurship there is a new focus towards this sector. The State
is also promoting new industries to set up their base in Kerala in the
State owned industrial parks. The State also offers a large pool of
trained and talented labour and with the location benefits that the
State has, it has all the potential to become a smart destination for
manufacturing
.
