Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering’s innovation “Pepper Plucker Cum Separator" developed by students Shalom Philip Thomas,  Mohammed Anshad, Nahas Rasheed, Sarath Chandran and  Akhil Dev  under the guidience of Prof. Sreerag V won this year’s 12th TechTop National innovation Challenge and secured Rs.100,000/- cash prize and trophy. They won this coveted position contesting against 300 over entries. Shri. Amithab Kant, IAS, CEO of the Niti Aayog gave away the prizes to the winners a nd visited their prototypes.

Seminar on Bus Safety- Creativity, Testing & More with the Bus Code

IEI students Chapter & ISTE of Amal jyothi college of Engineering, organized Lecture on Bus Safety- Creativity, Testing & More with the Bus Code on April 20 th 2017   to create awareness about the changes in the safety norms that occurred in automobile industry. The session included a talk by Sri. Arun Joy, Design Engineer, Kondody Auto-Craft, Kottayam . The programme started by 2:00PM and was ended by 4.30PM. About 73 Students from the college participated in the programme. Mr. Mathew J Joseph, Staff advisor ISTE students’ Chapter welcomed the gathering. The speaker delivered a lecture about the various challenges and standards introduced by the government to enhance safety in the automobile industry. The talk was organized in order to create an awareness on safety and creativity. The speaker explained about various developments that occurred from the past to the present, more importantly he gave a rough about what are the challenges in the future.  ...

Seminar on "What do Industries expect from a Fresh Graduate Engineer"

IEI students Chapter & ISTE of Amal jyothi college of Engineering, organized Lecture on What do Industries expect from a Fresh Graduate Engineer on April 19 th     to create an awareness about   what are the expectations of the industry in a real working .The session   included a talk by Sri. K. Jayachandran, DGM (Production) FACT, Aluva . . The programme started by 1:00 PM and was ended by 3.30 PM. About 80 Students from the college participated in the programme. Er. Roshan Kuruvila, Staff advisor IEI students’ Chapter welcomed the gathering. The speaker delivered a lecture about the various expertise needed to survive and the importance of knowledge and skill needed. The talk was organized in order to create professional awareness. The speaker explained about various developments that occurred from the past to the present, more importantly he gave a rough about what we would be expecting in the future.

R. Dileep, DGM (Maintenance), FACT, Aluva The programme started by 10:00AM and was ended by 12.00Nn. About 86 Students from the college participated in the programme. Er. Roshan Kuruvila, Staff advisor IEI students’ Chapter welcomed the gathering. The speaker delivered a lecture about the various challenges of a Mechanical engineer in an industry and the probable techniques to survive . The talk was organized in order to create professional awareness. The speaker explained about various developments that occurred from the past to the present, more importantly he gave a rough about what are the challenges in the future. 

Seminar on Energy Conservation and Management

Energy conservation   refers to the reducing of   energy consumption   through using less of an energy service. Energy conservation differs from   efficient energy use , which refers to using less energy for a constant service.   Driving less is an example of energy conservation. Driving the same amount with a higher mileage vehicle is an example of energy efficiency. Energy conservation and efficiency are both energy reduction techniques. Smart Energy Programme (Technical) cell under Energy Management Centre, TVM and ISTE Kerala Section jointly organized a seminar on “Energy Conservation and Management” on 29th March 2017. Mr. B V Suresh Babu, Accredited Energy Auditor, Ottotractions took the session.
