“Additional Skills Acquisition Programme (ASAP)- DAT (Design Align and Train)
AJCE joined hands with the the General & Higher Education Departments of Government of Kerala under the “Additional Skills Acquisition Programme ( ASAP )- DAT (Design Align and Train) scheme” to conducted a Skill Development Programme known as "Machining Technician Level-3". The syllabus of this course included theory and practical training on Safety, Measurements, Lathe work, Milling, Drilling, Grinding and introduction to Heat treatment and CNC operations. The students of this course could find their job role as Maintenance/ Helper Technician in related industries.

The egg de-sheller project of Ronz Roy, Thomas George Panicker, Snery Samuel and San Thomas (all 2016 outgoing), and Bergin S Russel (S3 MTech Machine design), and mentored by Mr Sreerag V won the honours at the NIT Thatva 2016 competition

Mr Vishnu Surendran (S7 ME) and Mr Ajo Varghese (S7 CE) came second in the MG University inter-zone chess championship held at KG College, Pampady. Mr Vishnu Surendran (S7 ME) and Mr Ajo Varghese (S7 CE) will represent the university in the all-India inter-university championship
