Quiz club of Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, in association with IEI AJCE Student Chapter organized ‘KURUKSHETRA’, an inter-departmental quiz competition for the students of all branches of the college on  30 th  and 31 st  of October 2019  . The quiz began on the evening of 30 th  October 2019, Wednesday, at 4:15 pm with “CHATHURANGA”, a preliminary round. Around 40 teams had registered for the event, in teams on two from their own respective departments, in this witty war to determine the best brains of the college. The quiz was officially inaugurated and declared open by Dr. Soney C. George, Dean Research, AJCE. IEI Coordinator Mr. Arjun K Raj and The Quiz Club President, Mr. Aswin S Nair were the main hosts of the event. From among the registered 40, the 15 worthy teams were selected by quizzing them with 20 general questions, the teams selected being on mark basis and forwarded to the second round. A 3-dayIndustrial Visit to ‘Kalkura Refrigeration and Kitchen Equipments Pvt. Ltd.’ was organized by the S3 Mechanical Engineering students (BTME2018-22-S3-A) of Amal Jyothi College of Engineering Kanjirapally from 04/10/2019 – 07/10/2019. 44 students accompanied by 3 faculties took part in this trip. Kalkura Refrigeration and Kitchen Equipments Pvt. Ltd. is a manufacturer of commercial refrigeration systems, equipments, hotel/canteen equipments and general-purpose machinery. It was our first destination. We visited the industry at 05/10/2019 10:00 am and spend 2 hours there. We were able to understand the application of various machining processes in the field of manufacturing. We were able to understand different manufacturing processes and also learned about various machines and tools involved in it.
