Make in India Opportunities and Challenges


IEI students Chapter AmalJyothi college of Engineering, ACE/MC/686518 organized a 2 day seminar on the topic “Make In India” opportunities and challenges on 12th & 13th April 2016.As a part of the two day programme Rev. Dr. Jose Kannampuzha, Principal, AmalJyothi college of Engineering welcomed the gathering. Er. Roshan Kuruvila, Staff advisor IEI Students’ Chapter introduced the various speakers to the audience.
Mr. L Jyothish Kumar (President AMSI) inaugurated the seminar by Lighting of the lamp and explained the importance and the need of Make in India. On the above occasion Er. Varghese A Johns Engineering Coordinator of IE (I) Kochi  local centre Stressed the role of Engineers in this context. The seminar was organized in order to create professional awareness and the role of engineers in the Make in India programme. Sri. Vishnu Lakshmanan, student chairman, IEI students’ Chapter ACE/MC/686518 delivered the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with National Anthem

2nd session By Er. L Jyothish Kumar (President, Additive Manufacturing Society of India)

   As the part of the 2 day seminar on the topic “Make In India” opportunities and challenges on 12th & 13th April 2016. Er. Varghese A Johns, Engineering Coordinator spoke on the occasion about the role of engineers. In session he explained the various roles and other important areas in which an engineer has to look upon for being self reliant. The other area he stressed was need for health safety engineering.  The session ended with a an absorbing interactive session At the end of the session Mr. Vishnu Lakshmanan proposed the vote of Thanks


 
As the part of the 2 day seminar on the topic “Make In India” opportunities and challenges on 12th &              13th April 2016. Er. L Jyothish Kumar, President AMSI spoke on the occasion about the role of      engi         neers in modern manufacturing technologies. In session he introduced the various technologies like Rapid prototyping, 3D printing etc. This session also covered the applications of these technologies and the present future of these technologies.  The session ended with a an absorbing interactive session A.t the end of the session Mr. George Raphael proposed the vote of Thanks

4th session By Dr. A Ganeshan (former Dean, Kerala Agriculture University)
 

As the part of the 2 day seminar on the topic “Make In India” opportunities and challenges on 12th & 13th April 2016. Dr V Ganeshan, (Former Dean, Kerala Agricultural University) spoke on the occasion about the role of Agricultural sector in making India self sufficient. In this session he mentioned about the various research programmes in harvesting and food processing industry. This session also covered the applications of these technologies and how to this technologies can be benefitted for the common Man...  The session ended with a an absorbing interactive session at the end of the session Mr. Jibin Chacko proposed the vote of Thanks













5th session By Dr. S.C Sharma (Group Director, Materials Division, VSSC) 
As the part of the 2 day seminar on the topic “Make In India” opportunities and challenges on 12th & 13th April 2016. Dr S.C.Sharma, (Group Director, Materials Division VSSC, Trivandrum) spoke on the occasion about the importance of indigenization in making India self sufficient. In this session he mentioned about the various research programmes undertaken by the VSSC in developing indigenous Materials. This session also covered the applications of these technologies and how to this technologies can be utilized in wider range of Applications.  The session ended with a an absorbing interactive session at the end of the session Mr. Jibin Chacko proposed the vote of Thanks











Concluding Session

The concluding session of 2 day seminar on the topic “Make In India” opportunities and challenges on 12th & 13th April 2016. Rev. Dr Jose Kannampuzha (Principal, AmalJyothi College of Engineering) spoke on the occasion about the importance and significance of the theme “Make In India” and urged the participants to apply these innovative ideas and make India self sufficient. The participants  shared their experience about the programme and assured that they will apply these to the benefit of the common man. The session ended with the vote of Thanks by Mr. Sebi John.
