Mechanical Engineering of Amal Jyothi College hosted the Association of
Mechanical Engineering (AME) annual meet and the inauguration of Indian
Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) AJCE Student Chapter on 3
rd
April 2014. Prof R.A.D Pillai, Former Deputy Director, VSSC and National
Council member of IIIE inaugurated the IIIE chapter of AJCE. In his inaugural
address he spoke about “New Industrial Engineer” Mr: A.G. Ajikrishnan, DGM-
Technical, Wonderla Holidays Ltd. and General Secretary of IIIE, Kerala
chapter, delivered the key note address. Principal Rev.Dr. Jose Kannampuzha
gave the presidential address. Head of the department of Mechanical Engineering
Dr.Jippu Jacob, Faculty members Prof K.P.Sundhareswaran, Prof.K.R.Arjun,
Student representative of the association, Mr.Chacko T Francis etc spoke on the occasion.

Safety Club in association with the Department of Mechanical Engineering has organized a Workshop on “Safety and Disaster Management” on 01/02/2020. The workshop was held at St.Alphonsa Hall (CC110) at 10.00 am. The workshop was handled by Fire & Rescue Office Team, Kanjirappally. The team has included Sri. Joseph Joseph, Fire Station Officer and five other officials. Around 125 first year B.Tech. students from both Mechanical and Electrical branches have attended the workshop. Both theory and practical sessions on safety were included in the workshop. The workshop delivered instructions on guidelines to identify hazards, report them, and deal with incidents. The workshop was also provided awareness to the students about how to save a life in real-time situation of any kind of danger or calamity that occurs with no advance or very little time. Amal Jyothi College of Engineering proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of its S4 Mechanical Engineering students for securing funding under the Young Innovators Programme (YIP) 8.0. The project titled “Megnexus Nutmeg Desheller” has been awarded a funding of ₹50,000 for being recognized as one of the best projects under the programme. This innovative solution aims to address practical challenges in nutmeg processing by introducing an efficient and scalable deshelling mechanism. The project was developed under the guidance of Dr Meby Mathew (Team Mentor), with dedicated contributions from Cristopher Jacob, Jenin J George, and Aswin A Nair.
